Cyclodance is an inclusive discipline that brings together a wheelchair user and a standing dancer through a shared passion for dance. Together, both partners learn to move, communicate and create harmonious movements to the rhythm of the music.
This practice teaches participants how to guide a wheelchair user with precision, fluidity and respect. It develops listening skills, coordination, trust and connection between partners, while ensuring everyone’s comfort and safety.
In Cyclodance, both roles are equally important. The standing dancer does not simply lead, and the wheelchair user does not simply follow: both partners actively contribute to the movement, energy and artistic expression of the dance.
Open to beginners and experienced dancers alike, Cyclodance goes beyond physical differences and transforms the wheelchair into a true partner in movement. It encourages independence, creativity, self-confidence and the joy of sharing.
More than a dance discipline, Cyclodance is a wonderful human experience that reminds us that dance belongs to everyone.
